3 ways to fight an ear infection naturally

As a child who suffered from chronic ear infections, this information is invaluable! Common treatment is antibiotics, and boy, did I take my fair share of those. Antibiotics are great when necessary. But, when not necessary, they can contribute to all kinds of health issues, including depression and anxiety. That’s why I LOVE sharing this information.

Three ways to treat ear infections naturally:

  1. A Chiropractic adjustment. Adjustments (gentle) to the top of the neck, help relax the muscles surrounding the head, neck, and ears. This will allow the eustachian tube to drain. Also, adjustments have been shown to boost the immune system by 200%! So, not only are you helping the eustachian tube to drain, but you are also boosting the immune system by 200%!
  2. Hot compress: Boil a pot of water. Put a washcloth in the pot of water. Ring out the soaked washcloth. (May need to use oven mitts for this). Fold it into a square or rectangle. Place on ear. The heat and moisture can loosen up whatever is inside the ear. The heat is also soothing and relaxing.
  3. Garlic oil. The person with an ear infection should be lying on their side with the sore ear facing up. Put 2-3 drops of warm garlic oil into the ear. Gently place the piece of cotton over the opening of the ear just enough to stop the oil from seeping out. The person being treated should remain in the same position for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can soak the piece of cotton in the oil and rest it just inside the ear so the oil seeps into the ear canal. I’d probably do the latter. You can either make your own garlic oil (How To Make Your Own Homemade Garlic Oil – Larder Love), or purchase some to have on hand from: Herb Pharm, Mullein Garlic, Pure Ear Oil, 1 fl oz (30 ml) – iHerb.

These are all ides to try BEFORE turning to conventional treatment.
